Marguerite in Margeride (13-17 year-olds)

You need a break before the end of the year? Come and recharge your batteries in the Lozère with our horses and see the many colours of the Margeride. You will be able to travel and explore this magnificent region offering you so many different trekking possibilities with your horse on the wide tracks and forest bridleways.
Arrival on Sunday, with treks out from the base from Monday to Friday, departure on Saturday morning.
Accommodation : Shared rooms on the spot at the Relais de Palhères inn.
Food : Hot meals every evening at the inn. Cold packed lunches at midday
Equipment: Suitable riding wear, warm comfortable pullovers, rainwear, torch, high protection suntan lotion, rucksack for the bivouac (about 20 – 30 litres), 1 drinking bottle and a scarf. Sleeping bag (good quality, the nights can be cold as the camp is at an altitude of 1000 m) and a hard riding hat if you’ve got one. Small first aid kit.
Details: All necessary supplies, bags and equipment are brought out to riders by vehicle.
13 to 17 year-old teenagers.
A minimum of experience and horsemanship are required to progress faster, thanks to our special teaching techniques. Must be able to tack up, do a rising trot and gallop with a group.
A minimum of physical fitness is required. If you practise sport regularly there will be nothing to worry about.
4 to 6 hours of horse-riding per day.
Horses and large ponies bred on an Arabian stud-farm. They are rustic and live outside all year round.
Les Écuries de Palhères riding centre provides all tack, saddle-bags and grooming kit.
